User Feedback
This document outlines the user feedback collection process for the NAVIGO project and summarizes the responses gathered from students and testers. Feedback helped evaluate usability, features, design, and overall experience.
1. Feedback Collection Method
A Google Form was created and shared with classmates, testers, and early users of NAVIGO.
Responses were collected automatically and recorded in Google Sheets for analysis.
The feedback included quantitative ratings and open-ended suggestions and impressions.
2. Topics Covered in the Form
The feedback form targeted four main areas:
2.1 Usability
- Ease of navigation on the NAVIGO website.
- Smoothness of login and sign-up process.
- Any points of confusion or difficulty while using features.
2.2 Features
- Features tested: Quests, Treasure Hunts, Collectibles, Leaderboard, Profile.
- Most engaging or enjoyable features.
- Effectiveness of Google Maps/location verification.
- Suggestions or issues related to quests and collectibles.
2.3 Design & Performance
- Visual appeal and interface intuitiveness.
- Site responsiveness and loading speed across devices.
- Comfort of using the dark theme for extended sessions.
2.4 Overall Experience
- Overall satisfaction with NAVIGO.
- Likelihood of recommending NAVIGO to other students.
- Favorite aspects, pain points, and improvement suggestions.
3. Summary of Responses
Based on the collected feedback, the following observations were made:
3.1 Usability
- Most users found the website easy to navigate, with clear menus and feature sections.
- The login and sign-up process was smooth, though a few users requested clearer instructions for Google Sign-In.
- Minor confusion was noted around the Treasure Hunt interface; some users suggested adding hints or tooltips.
3.2 Features
- Location Quests and Leaderboard were the most popular features.
- Collectibles and badges were motivating but some users requested more variety and visual cues when unlocked.
- Google Maps integration worked correctly for most users; a small number reported GPS inaccuracies or delays.
- Users appreciated the real-time score updates and progress tracking.
3.3 Design & Performance
- Users rated the visual design highly, praising the clean layout and consistent styling.
- The dark theme was generally comfortable, though a few preferred an optional light theme.
- Loading times were smooth, and the app was responsive across mobile and desktop screens.
3.4 Overall Experience
- Overall satisfaction was high, with many users enjoying the gamified experience.
- Most respondents indicated they would recommend NAVIGO to other students.
- Suggestions for improvement included:
- Adding tutorials or onboarding tips for new users.
- Introducing more challenging quests or daily challenges.
- Enhancing animations and interactive feedback for collectibles and badges.
4. Actionable Insights
From the feedback, the NAVIGO team can prioritize:
- Enhancing Treasure Hunt guidance and hints.
- Expanding collectible variety and visual rewards.
- Improving GPS accuracy handling and error feedback.
- Considering optional light theme and accessibility improvements.
- Implementing onboarding tutorials and feature previews for new users.
